Avery-Taylor Atlanta Vacation Part I

The Avery's and the Taylor's have embarked on their second family vacation together, or rather, weekend get-away, this go around. Our first vacation was taken together this past October in Disney World where we celebrated Vaiden's birthday. On this little weekend excursion we are celebrating yet another Taylor birthday. This time we are partying it up at the American Girl Doll store in honor of sweet Katie who will be 8 in May.    The girls (me, Vaiden, Katie, Emma-Caroline and Sophie) all piled in the mini van Friday afternoon to get a jump start on our trip while the boys (Howie, Scott, and Davis) joined us a few hours later at the hotel in downtown Atlanta.
We arrived promptly at the American Girl Doll Bistro in Atlanta in plenty of time to shop and have our American Girl Dolls' hair done before making our reservation to eat at the Bistro.
The girls, dolls and ladies dined on delicious entrees from the American Girl Doll Kitchen.

(Vaiden took these two photos while I took Sophie to the potty.)

We finished our lovely dinner with wonderful pastries and a Happy Birthday serenade to the birthday girl.
We all had a wonderful time until torrential down pours threatened and our husbands hastened us back to the hotel before we were caught in the storm.
We made it in the nick of time and got lots of rest in our adjoining rooms for our big excursion today, Saturday, when we will visit the Atlanta Aquarium and go to a Mets vs Braves game.

 Be back soon!
