Bearden Dance Festival

On Thursday night, Emma-Caroline's school had a dance festival. It was held outdoors on a beautiful night. Each class danced to a different theme. The kindergarten class danced and sang to an island themed song. I can't believe it is May already and Emma-Caroline's kindergarten year is winding down. This year sure has flown by! we have been blessed that Emma-Caroline has had such a wonderful first year of school with an awesome teacher and a great place to learn. We couldn't ask for anything more. Here are a few images from the dance festival.
Emma-Caroline and Ella being gracious to smile for me while squinting into the sun. They were waiting for the show to begin.
Some of Emma-Caroline's classmates waiting before the show. Mrs. Hughes and the music teacher are in the back. From Left: Logan, Julia, Emma-Caroline, Ella, Kailey, and John.
Friends, Andie and Sadie Parker (Parkey) did a wonderful job introducing the "Island" Kindergarten Dancers.
Bearden's music teacher is retiring. she is a wonderful lady and has given these kiddos a real gift in her teaching. We will miss her. Here she is with the kindergarten class singing the Hookie Lau.
Throwing nets into the sea. Emma-Caroline looks a little reluctant on the back row!
Walking back to the sidelines after performing with BFF Andie.
The looks on these kiddos faces says sheer joy. I think they were proud of their performance.
Ending with the chicken dance. Parents were also invited to participate. We had a GREAT time!

Happy Mother's Day Sweet and Beautiful Amy with the equally beautiful and sweet family!!!!!

Oh, and I LOVED your description of the hydrangeas. When we get back to the US we hope to plant some before Tom deploys. We love our brand new house, but while we had some lovely landscaping out front and some pretty trees (though so young!) in the back, it wasn't truly overflowing with flowers like I like...and I especially like hydrangeas! We bought our last house because of the Magnolia trees in the front yard!!!!!
Love/hugs/turquoise joy,
Lana
