Snowed In!

The weather forecast called for snow, but I didn't believe them. They always call for multiple inches of snow and we either get 1-2 inches, a light dusting, or no snow at all. So when they said we would get a half a foot of snow, I said, "No way!" So I kept checking the WBIR web site for school cancellations and it seemed that EVERY other surrounding county was closed except Knox. I finally gave up, just knowing we would have NO snow. At 4:37 in the morning, Knox County schools finally called it. No School! And boy did we get some snow!

OK, I am a bit exaggerating about the amount of snow we got. It wasn't like we we had a blizzard of more than several feet of snow, but we did get six inches and that is good enough for me.
We have had a great time sledding and playing in the snow.
All of our neighbors have come out and everyone is having a ball. Liza Handley and Emma-Caroline went down the tall hill in our neighborhood a record number of times!
The girls have also enjoyed sampling the pure white stuff and making snowballs with Daddy.
And this little sweet girl is our neighbor's new German Shepherd puppy, Hazel. Isn't she adorable! Emma-Caroline was also excited to see her good friend from school, Sadie Parker. They enjoyed sledding together too into the field.
These are gifts, days like today, and so much fun! We hope you are enjoying being snowed in as much as we are!

The pictures are so pretty, I love the fun they are having. I guess it really made Howie feel at home, like New York winters... The new puppy is so pretty. Have fun. We got about 2 inches here in Memphis. It is beautiful looking out from 3 stories up.

Have fun and be careful on the ice if any.

Love,
Aunt Brenda
