Primary Colors

Flaming Red, your leaves burn bright
With anticipation of the day to come.
You gleefully dance in the Winter wind
Ready for all that awaits you.

Bright as sunshine your yellow coat gleams
in the glow of the morning sun.
Your dogwood tails do not wait for Spring's beckon
To reveal their splendid beauty.
Blue as the the clearest glacier waters
You announce the beginning of another day.
Your brilliant hue adorns the naked world around you
With the promise of warmer weather to come.
In the primary colors of red, yellow and blue
Nature presents the perfect gift to the gazer's weary eye
That even in the stark cold of Winter
The world is abundant in beauty unveiled.

Amy - those are really beautiful photos. I really love the red one. What kind of bush is that? The leaves and the branches are the same color. Is that in your yard?

I would love to spend a day with you on your photo adventures. You have helped me realize what is missing from my life and I thank you.
