The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

On our last day in Florida we made a trip to Universal Orlando before heading to the airport to fly back to California. We had a wonderful day exploring the parks and I especially loved the Harry Potter themed portion of the parks. Dr. Seuss World and Jurassic Park were also favs of all of us. We look forward to visiting again soon.

Time with Family

During this pandemic we have been isolated from family and friends which has been so hard. Now that the vaccine is available and cases are going down, we were able to see family after a year and a half. I got to see my dad and Pam as well as my sisters Katie and Kelly, my brother-in-law Leif and my nieces Kairi and Elaina. What a sweet time together!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

An Irish Blessing
May peace and plenty
bless your world
With a joy that long endures
And may all life’s passing seasons
Bring the best to you and yours.

A Weekend Getaway

For my birthday this year, Howie took me for the evening to Napa. It's amazing that we live so close to Napa Valley and wine country California. We enjoyed visiting one of our favorite little villages, Yountville, eating at Bouchon Bakery and going to Stewart Tasting Room for a wine tasting. It was a wonderful way to spend my birthday.

Emma-Caroline Turns 16!

Today our beautiful daughter Emma-Caroline turns 16 years old. It is truly hard to believe that 16 years have passed by since our little 8 pound daughter came into the world and changed our lives forever. She is as her name means a "complete joy," and we are blessed beyond measure to be her parents. Emma-Caroline loves math, music, traveling, baseball, and is a foodie like her dad. A few days before her birthday, we took EC to China Beach to take photos. Today we celebrated with an trip to the outlet malls and a family meal of chicken tortilla soup and birthday cake. We love you Emma-Caroline!

The San Francisco Botanical Garden

Living in Northern California has it's obvious perks one of those being the beautiful weather year round. With a tiny bit of cold weather mixed in at the end of fall through Christmas and into January, the weather begins to warm up again and full on Spring starts to occur in February. We took advantage of the lovely weather to go visit the San Francisco Botanical Garden where the magnolia are in full bloom. I have never seen purple blooms on magnolia trees! They are amazing! We enjoyed walking the grounds and enjoying the sunshine together.
