"D" Week!

Emma-Caroline was the "Child of the Week" at her preschool this past week which also entitled her to the responsibility of bringing in things for the class for the letter of the week which was the letter D. It just so happens that we have two animals that begin with the letter D, a dog (or two dogs) and a dove who made an appearance during the week for show and tell in Emma-Caroline's class.
We had a wonderful time finding things for snack for D week as well as little things that start with D for each student to take home. We ended up with the following list of things that start with the letter D. Snacks: Danimals Yogurt, Doughnuts, Dora snacks, Dum Dum suckers, and Dove chocolate. Toys: Dinosaurs, Dominoes, Dice, Dora and Diego Stickers, and Dog stickers. We had to get creative with the snacks and went more with the name brand of things that start with D.
Emma-Caroline's daddy came to read a story to the class on Friday because as Emma-Caroline told her daddy, "Um Daddy, you have to come and read a story, because daddy, starts with D." Enough said.
Emma-Caroline had a wonderful time being the "Child of the Week" and we had a wonderful time together as a family helping her class learn about the letter D.
