Although our time in Paris was brief, the girls took on the spirit of the city right away. Sophie loved seeing all of the gardens, the Eiffle Tower and other sites. Emma-Caroline loved the Parisian food and pastries. Both would love to travel back to Paris soon as would their parents!

The Arc De Triumphe
Our time in Paris was shorter than the time we spent in London, so we needed to pack in several of the big highlights in just a few days. After our day touring Notre Dame and the Louvre, we headed out to the Champs Elesses to walk up the iconic street, delight in French macaroons and view the Arc de Triumphe. We also got to see the Eiffle Tower again at night which was beautiful!

Notre Dame Cathedral
On our first full day in Paris we met a tour guide early in the morning at the Cathedral of Notre Dame. The beauty and feeling of awe that is inspired by Notre Dame is one that I can not describe. I had visited once before when I was 15 and was so awe struck then. The same feeling overwhelmed my senses as an adult with two daughters. I have been to many cathedrals around the world, but Notre Dame, to me is my favorite. I could have spent hours upon hours inside the cathedral, but the time we did get to spend was wonderful!

Paris!
We left London and headed for the train station in order to board the Eurostar that would take us through the Chunnel to France and ultimately to Paris! Howie and the girls had never been to Paris and it had been since I was a teenager since I had visited. We arrived in the late afternoon and headed out immediately to the Eiffle Tower. It was such a lovely evening to stroll around the tower and to take in Paris on our first night.

A Night on the West End in London
On our last evening in London we went to the West End to see Les Miserables. The girls and I had never seen Les Mis, so it was wonderful to see it the Queen's Theater in London's equivalent of Broadway. Our London trip was so wonderful and I look forward to going back to England in the future!

The London Eye!
Sophie was determined that she get to go on the London Eye while we were visiting. Howie took her on our very last morning in London while Emma-Caroline and I went to breakfast and Fortnum and Mason for tea. I'm so glad Sophie instead on going. She got some amazing ariel views of London!
Emma-Caroline and I had tea and breakfast together while Howie and Sophie went on the London Eye. Later we all met up to shop and of course make a visit to Hamley's toy store.
