Sophie decided for her 5th birthday party this year that she would like to take her friends to the movie theater to see Madagascar 3. She was very decisive that she wanted her party to have only girls, "no stinky boys who might talk during the movie!" We held the party at the Regal cinemas and did a circus theme with the decorations and cupcakes. The girls had a wonderful time playing, opening gifts, and taking a tour behind the scenes of the movie theater before going in to see Madagascar 3. I was thoroughly impressed with the movie theater party as well as the movie itself. All in all, Sophie's 5th birthday party was a blockbuster hit!

Memphic Botanic Gardens
While we were in Memphis for my 20 year high school reunion, we took the girls over to the Memphis Botanic Gardens to enjoy the beautiful array of botanical life they have on display. We were only in Memphis for 24hours so along with a visit with Aunt Linda, Aunt Brenda and Nana, we also dined on Memphis barbecue at the famous Central Barbecue restaurant. It was a quick but really fun trip and we look forward to visiting Memphis again soon!

St. Agnes Academy Class of 1992
I know people say it all the time, but wow, time sure does pass by quickly. I am amazed that it has actually been 20 years since I graduated from high school in Memphis, TN. It has been longer that I was old when I received my diploma for completing the 13 years required of me to attend school. I felt so grown up at 18, ready to begin my life in college and then go on to have a career and a family. Looking back over the past 20 years doesn't seem like what 20 years is supposed to feel like. At 18, 20 years was a LONG LONG time.
Now, 20 years is a blink of an eye with lots of wonderful things that make me happy. I attended my high school. St. Agnes Academy's 20 year reunion and enjoyed showing Emma-Caroline, Sophie and Howie the school I attended as well as introducing them to my high school friends. It was wonderful seeing everyone and I would say we loom better 20 years later than we did at 18! I lookforward to enjoying my next 5, 10, 15, 20 year reunions and looking back over the wonderful years in between.
This was a Walnut Grove when I attended St. Agnes. Now it is the newest addition to this wonderful school.

VBS 2012
This year's VBS was centered around "Home Town Nazareth" or life during the times when Jesus was a boy. This is my fifth year of being on the core committee in planning VBS and my first to actually be an Assistant Director. After planning, recruiting volunteers, preparing and more preparing, our VBS week was finally here. The week was filled with lots of fun, energy, and learning about Jesus and his love for all of us. Although I am glad it is now finished, I look forward to next year when the fun and good times will continue with another VBS. (All photos below taken by our wonderfulVBS photographer, Vaiden Taylor)
